Lindley Liberal Club Reserves Resign from the League

Lindley Liberal Club have today tendered the resignation of their Division 1 Reserve team. Bill Lee in tending the resignatiion cited the lack of registered players. This will go to the next Management Committee meeting, in the mean time all fixtures involving Lindley Lib Res will be cancelled.

FOOTBALL, RUGBY AND CRICKET MATCHES CANCELLED THIS WEEKEND

Due to the recent heavy rainfall and with the weather forecast for the weekend showing no improvement, Kirklees Council and HOCHTIEF School Fields have regretfully taken the decision to cancel all football, rugby and cricket matches due to have been played on council-managed and school pitches in Kirklees this weekend.

Pitches are already saturated with further rainfall forecast for what should have been the opening weekend of the Huddersfield and District Football League.

However, as regards matches scheduled to be played on privately-managed pitches, for Huddersfield and District Football League, the decision to cancel or not lies with the discretion of the individual respective referees.
